About Isimbi Beverages

A Ugandan wine and spirits house in Kampala, built on real ingredients, controlled production and honest labelling.

Our story

It started with a banana and a question

Uganda grows some of the best fruit on the continent. The question that started Isimbi Beverages was a simple one: why should a wine made from it be anything less than excellent?

Isimbi Beverages SMC Limited was registered to answer that properly — with a production facility, a written recipe, and the discipline to follow it every single batch. Isimbi Wine came first: ripe bananas, pure honey, patience. The Dose family of spirits followed, built on the same rule that what goes on the label has to be true of what is in the bottle.

Today we blend, ferment, filter and bottle from our facility on Luzira Kirombe — Butabika Road in Kampala, supplying bars, wholesalers, supermarkets and retailers across the country.

What we stand for

Four things we will not compromise on

Honest ingredients

Every ingredient is declared on the label. If it is not in the recipe, it is not in the tank.

Consistent quality

Batch records, retained samples and fixed specifications — so the tenth bottle matches the first.

Responsible trade

We market to adults only, support responsible consumption, and expect the same of our stockists.

Partners, not accounts

Fair trade terms, honest lead times, and a sales team that answers the phone.

Our facility

Blended, fermented and bottled in Luzira

Production runs under documented hygiene and food-safety practice, in line with Uganda National Bureau of Standards requirements. Water is treated before use, blends are checked against specification before fermentation, and every batch is recorded and sampled before it is released to trade.

  • Treated water and verified ingredient intake.
  • Controlled fermentation and resting.
  • Filtration, filling and capping on a single line.
  • Retained sample and batch record for full traceability.

Capacity

Stock on the floor, not just on paper

Production is planned against real trade forecasts, and finished goods are held in our own store — so an order placed on Monday is not waiting on a production run.

That is the part distributors care about most, and it is the part we measure ourselves on: the right product, in the right quantity, on the day we said it would arrive.

Mission

To craft wine and spirits from Ugandan produce that compete on taste and consistency, not on price alone.

Vision

To grow Isimbi into a regionally recognised beverage house, one dependable batch at a time.

Promise

Accurate ingredients, accurate strength, accurate volume. Every product, every batch.
